Cherry and Chris - Love at Pendrell Hall

Some days it’s easy being a wedding photographer, not that my life is hard - my job is to get paid to go to parties, for which I am forever grateful and very, very, lucky - and one of those days was a visit to Pendrell Hall, just inside Staffordshire not a million miles away from Wolverhampton.

Brace yourselves for a tale filled with romance, resilience, and a lot of fun and laughter.

Picture this: a gorgeous countryside setting, grand rooms of the Hall, and a couple perfectly suited to be together and loads of family and friends to share the day, with laughter a great party and lots of dancing. Chris and Cherry's wedding day was nothing short of magical, despite the unexpected rain showers. But hey, rain on your wedding day is just nature's way of making the knot that they were tying tighter!

So whilst we were stuck inside when we wanted to go outside, that didn’t get in the way and we still managed to use the grand room where the couple’s ceremony was held for group shots. When it came to portraits of the couple, Cherry wasn’t precious about getting the bottom of her dress damp, and was happy to go for a walk with an unbrella along the many paths that surround the house. Best of all the rain did stop for just long enough for us all to nip outside to do the all important confetti shots, which, thanks to Cherry’s planning and provision of A LOT of confetti, produced some of the most awesome confetti pictures I have ever taken.

Pendrell Hall is always great for a party. The wedding breakfast room being turned around to allow plenty of space for the DJ and a dance floor that became the stage for some pretty epic moves and fancy partying that went on well into the night!
